Landfill Returns to Normal Hours 5/29
Westminster, MD, Thursday, May 28, 2020 – Today in Open Session, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners directed staff to return the Northern Landfill to normal operating hours, starting Friday, May 29, 2020.
Due to preventative measures implemented in the landfill to maximize physical distancing and provide additional safety to residential visitors, commercial haulers and county staff, the commissioners decided to return the Northern Landfill to pre-pandemic hours.
Starting Friday, May 29, 2020, Carroll County residents may deliver household waste, recyclables and yard waste during the following times:
Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
We ask that county residents continue to follow COVID-19 protective measures while at the landfill. As a reminder, only residents from Carroll County are permitted to use the Northern Landfill for waste, yard waste and recyclables disposal.
The Carroll County Board of Commissioners thanks residents for their patience and cooperation throughout these unprecedented and challenging times.
