Westminster, MD, Thursday, April 16, 2020 – The Carroll County Board of Commissioners and Bureau of Permits and Inspections announce that the Permits Office will return to the County Office Building, located at 225 N. Center Street Westminster, Maryland, on Monday April 20th.

Renovations, started in November, provide a new configuration of the space to upgrade antiquated systems, improve efficiencies to the permit process, add a convenient self-service kiosk and generally provide an enhanced customer experience. The bureau continues to streamline processes with a goal of providing high-quality services.

As the County Office Building remains closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no access to the building is allowed; however, a dropbox for permit applications and related documents will be provided at the main entrance in the front vestibule. While staffing is limited during this time, services will continue to be provided. We look forward to serving you under this modified process and in-person when the building restrictions are removed.
