Westminster, MD, Thursday, March 12, 2020 – Carroll County’s 5 senior centers closed to clients today at approximately 11:30, for an undetermined amount of time. This closure is due to an order from the State of Maryland as a precaution to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Although no COVID-19 cases are currently identified in Carroll County, the health and safety of our senior citizens is a priority at all times.

Outside user groups, including Recreation and Parks activities and programs, offered at senior and community centers are canceled. Recreation and park programming offered at other facilities and fields are still planned pending future updates.  For recreation and park questions, please contact the Carroll County Department of Recreation & Parks at ccrec@carrollcountymd.gov or 410-386-2103.

Center events are cancelled until further notice, but at this time, the Bureau of Aging & Disabilities in Westminster remains open. Questions regarding senior services and resources should be directed to the Department of Aging at 410-386-3800.
