Sykesville, MD, 3:30 P.M., Monday, October 26, 2020 – Be advised that the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities is actively repairing the water main break in the vicinity of 7543 Main Street, between Church Street and Sandosky Road. It is estimated that the repairs will be completed by this evening. Water service to the immediate service will remain turned off until such time as the repairs have been completed and the service system tested and recharged.

System users may experience fluctuation of water pressure throughout this period as well as cloudy water as service is restored. If this occurs, it is recommended that cold water taps be turned on and that the water be allowed to run for several minutes to clear the lines. It is also advised that users refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
